In this unit, students will explore their interests, strengths, values, skills, and personality traits to better understand who they are and what motivates them. Through self-reflection and career exploration activities, teens will learn how personal strengths and goals can influence financial decisions, educational pathways, and career choices. This foundation helps students make informed decisions and create a plan for future success.
PERSONAL FINANCE
Personal Finance for Teens equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to make smart financial decisions. Topics include budgeting, saving, banking, credit, investing, taxes, and financial goal setting. Through real-world examples and hands-on activities, students learn how to manage money responsibly, build financial confidence, and prepare for a successful financial future.
CAREER EXPLORATION AND PATHWAY
Career Exploration helps students discover career opportunities that align with their interests, strengths, and goals. Through hands-on learning experiences, career assessments, industry research, and job-shadowing opportunities, students gain firsthand insight into a variety of professions. Students will explore educational and training requirements, develop workplace skills, and create a personalized career pathway plan that outlines the specific steps needed to achieve their long-term career goals. By the end of the course, students will have a clear roadmap for future education, training, and career success.
